Ondo Partners With Broadridge to Bring Voting Capabilities to Tokenized Stocks

Ondo has partnered with Broadridge Financial Solutions, which settles over $15 trillion in securities daily, to enable holders of tokenized stocks and ETFs to submit voting preferences for underlying shares.

Broadridge is the leading provider of investor communications and technology solutions, serving over 10,000 public companies as critical infrastructure connecting issuers and investors across the global financial system.

Through this integration, holders of more than 250 Ondo tokenized stocks and ETFs will be able to indicate voting preferences and review prospectuses, regulatory filings, and other governance information for underlying securities through Broadridge’s established investor communications infrastructure.

Recommendations will be weighted proportionately based on token ownership, with Ondo facilitating the attribution of voting recommendations from tokenholders to specific stock. Broadridge will provide token holders with the corresponding investor communications and with Ondo Stocks’ consent, aggregate their vote preferences alongside the votes of traditional market participants.

The partnership reflects Ondo’s core design goal: tokenized stocks should meet the standards of traditional markets to the fullest possible extent, while also adding unique accessibility benefits. By unlocking voting capabilities for holders of freely transferable onchain tokens that can trade 24/7, Ondo further bridges traditional market structure with blockchain-native infrastructure.

“This is about expanding what it means to hold a tokenized stock,” said Matthieu de Vergnes, MD, Global Head of Institutional at Ondo Finance. “By working with Broadridge, we are enabling holders of our onchain wrapper stocks to access governance and voting capabilities like holders of the traditional offchain stocks, with all the additional benefits onchain wrapper tokens provide.”

“Today’s announcement represents a major milestone in the evolution of tokenized equities and ETFs. Broadridge is proud to expand its voting infrastructure to connect our new Web3-enabled platform with the governance, disclosure, and investor participation standards that underpin modern capital markets,” said Doug DeSchutter, President, Investor Communication Solutions at Broadridge.

This announcement marks a pivotal step in expanding the capabilities of permissionless tokenized stocks, with further developments expected as the integration progresses.

Ondo is now the largest platform for tokenized stocks, representing roughly 70% of the total market share, with over $800m in total value locked across 250+ tokenized stocks, with tens of thousands of asset holders. Ondo tokenized stocks are available across Solana, Ethereum, and BNB Chain, and supported by leading wallets, exchanges, custodians, and protocols including Binance, Bitget, MetaMask, Ledger, Blockchain.com, and more.

The voting capabilities of tokenholders referenced herein are rights to express preferences to the issuer of Ondo Stocks Tokens regarding voting of the shares that the issuer beneficially owns.
